Mark Webster

Mark Webster

Mark has been CEO of Bio Products Laboratory since it became a limited company on January 2011. He is currently a non-executive director of Gooch and Housego plc and up until recently a non- executive board director of Abcam plc. Mark has lived and worked in the UK, Canada, USA and Germany in senior leadership roles for Abbott Laboratories, Shire Pharmaceuticals Group plc, Bayer Ag and Prostrakan Group plc. He was Head of North America and Global Marketing for Prostrakan, where Mark founded their US business. At Bayer he held the position of Senior Vice President Global Marketing and Licensing/ Acquisitions and was a member of Bayer Pharmaceuticals management committee. Mark was Head of Global Marketing and Licensing/ Acquisitions for Shire Pharmaceuticals and a member of the Executive Committee. At Abbott Laboratories as Vice President Anti- Virals, US Pharmaceutical Division, based in Chicago, he launched the HIV drug Kaletra which generated more than a $1 Billion in revenue. Mark has an honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Durham.

Rob Jones

Rob has been FD of Bio Products Laboratory since May 2003, after spending 11 years in the rail industry in a variety of finance, commercial and change management roles with a variety of companies. At Carillion Rail he led a team of senior engineers in bid managing an securing the £0.35bn West Coast Main Line infrastructure maintenance contract, the largest contract of its type ever let in the UK. Whilst Financial Controller at GT Railway Maintenance, he oversaw a project to outsource logistics and stores management to Exel Logistics and rationalisation of the depot structure into fewer integrated major hubs. Whilst at Intercity West Coast he was the most senior British Rail manager seconded to a national project to scope, select and implement an integrated business system into 13 track renewal and infrastructure maintenance companies to enable privatisation. He also developed from scratch the commercial systems and precursor intercompany trading relationships, prior to the separation of Railtrack from BR. Prior to the rail industry Rob spent 5 years in the defence industry as Divisional Accountant with GEC Marconi Defence systems, 2 years with Atlas Copco (industrial air compressors and mining equipment) and 2 years at Yale Security Products (locks). Rob has an Honours degree in Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Eric Vick

Eric Vick

Eric joined Bio Products Laboratory as EVP and Commercial Director in March 2012, adding his experience of more than 20 years in blue-chip pharma and biotech companies to the management team. During his career, Eric has lived and worked in the US, Czech Republic, Belgium, and the UK. And he has held numerous commercial roles, covering Global, European, International, and US remits. In addition, Eric has launched or commercialised products in more than 10 therapeutic areas. Prior to BPL, Eric most recently worked for Viropharma Incorporated as General Manager for the UK, Ireland and Nordic markets, where he built the cluster operational team, prepared the markets for the launch of novel epilepsy and hereditary angioedema brands, and was a member of the European Management Team. At Novartis, Eric was Global Marketing Director for the Meningitis Vaccines franchise, driving the disease area strategy for a suite of vaccines and leading the matrix product launch team. And during his tenure at GSK, Eric led marketing and sales groups in the US, Europe and Latin America, launching multiple brands and delivering sales targets in excess of $100 million. Eric graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Tim Aldwinckle Tim joined Bio Products Laboratory as Medical and Research and Development Director in January 2011. Previously he has held positions within the pharmaceutical industry (including Shire, GSK and Leo Pharmaceuticals) covering a range of medical and commercial activities, with both local and international management responsibilities. Tim is Deputy QPPV and responsible for GLP at BPL as well as the approved ABPI medical certifier. After receiving a PhD in Biochemistry from London University, he completed his medical training at Bristol University and worked in the NHS in a range of specialties before joining the pharmaceutical industry. He also is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and Senior Specialty Adviser to the Faculty.
